Our customer’s existing strapping sytem had become unreliable, requiring frequent maintenance services which was costing them tens of thousands of dollars in product down time in addition to the high cost involved in using imported spare parts.
PPG conducted a cost analysis on their spare parts, labour and production down time and recommended a brand new OMS system that offered reliability, increased output and productivity.
After the implementation of the new OMS system, there were only two general maintenance services required on the machine over the last 12 months - reduced from the twice a week services required with their old strapping machine.

The staff follow a simple cleaning and service regime which has seen the machine run consistently 24 hours, 7 days a week with little disruption to their production schedule.
